Based on one of my favourite short poems “Warum die Zitronen sauer wurden” by the wonderful Heinz Erhardt. The poem claims the lemon’s origin as an originally sweet fruit which wanted to be big and red like watermelons - but god didn’t approve, so all lemons turned sour…
